Havnt done a T0 it’s so dry here and we have decent varieties. Was thinking of just doing opti at T1? Strobs show good non fungicidal benefits.

Not much difference really .5 of generic teb plus 1 lt of ctl is more than £4/ac to me whilst opti is just under £6 and I have to open more bottles.
Also good practice not to include a triazole in T0 unless you need rust knockdown to help with septoria resistance management.

Don’t think you have the sort of Septoria pressure to deal with that we get.
You’re not wrong. It’s going to get tough for you guys without CTL, never mind with the other product losses.
Edit: It’ll be bad enough for us. I just cannot see new products having much of a lifespan without a multi-site product as backup. I know folpet is out there but I have no experience of it. How safe is that when it comes to reregistration, I don’t know.
We are being forced into changing how we are doing things, let’s hope as an industry we can rise to the challenge. We definitely need a new mindset going forward.

Other problem is that new chemistry will be at a different price point. :(

No doubt there will be some Revysol trials this year. Be interesting if there are any in the far SW ;)

Well actually I don’t like that post but you are right. They will budget the recovery of the cost of registration and profit generation over a shorter expected useful product lifespan. :(

Maybe we will find other ways to fight disease, better varieties to start and then perhaps more "natural" products and plant nutrition, it will be down to farmers via the likes of NIAB to find these new ways as there wont be so much profit for the chem companies, as they say necessity is the mother of invention

Years ago remember Craig Morgan & Mike Talbot of Agrovista describe KM kresoxim methyl as a 'super bravo' ie. not a great eradicant, but a great sterilant for stopping germination of fungal spores from many families.

Question for the real boffins; was good on mildew, is it any more? Is it still active as a sterilant against septoria germination?

Landmark & Mantra were the products from the mid 1990's, I know mantra is still available.

When we had cows we found the more you used anitbiotics to cure "easy" infections the more room harder to cure ones found to grow, I do wonder whether we now have the same with crop disease, its not that long ago when all we needed was two passes to have a clean crop now its four going on six, we arent winning this war perhaps its time for a change of tack

Great rust product but that's about it I think. Some greening effect. Needs to be cheap. No septoria activity for years - just another single site fungicide abused by cutting rates.

How long after spraying T0 (fungicide/growth regs/nutrients) can I roll wheat. After rolling how long do I need to leave before spraying again please?

A few days before rolling then a week afterwards before spraying again. You're leaving it late - as soon as stem extension has started you shouldn't be rolling as the ear will be heading up the stem and is vulnerable to physical damage.

Was it drilled very late and a slow developing variety? Otherwise as said above you would be being very "brave" rolling it at this stage! I wouldn't dare roll anything I had in the ground now.
