About 10 days away from T0 here, Crispin drilled November. It looks very clean as well. Not sure I'll even bother.

Oh flip!My sprayer is down with a wheel motor chewed up which has sent bits all over buggering the pump and possibly the other three wheel motors, potentially £24 k!!!

Ouch! Hope it’s a quicker and cheaper fix than that.
So do I, but that is potentially the outcome. It's a job to know how far to run a machine untill it breaks down and you think bugger I should not have been so tight!!

I wouldn't bother, that crop will be at T1 by hurrying through the growth stages as time gets on. Just ensure T1 is robust'ier'.

Convenient that the out of focus nature of the photo means you cannot actually confirm it’s yellow rust, whilst the under lying crop looks quite rust free. I guess I am getting too old for this farming lark. We did ours with opti too BTW.

No doubt it does but you would be hard pressed to get me to do anything that special at T0.
People are putting real deal branded products in at T0 yet I am a crook for telling people to put in 1L of CCC because its dirt cheap?

Don’t see what’s so special about 1lt of opti. I didn’t do last year as the weather was shyte so the opportunity past. I don’t see it as expensive though we can need protection from YR which can come in very quickly in a coastal climate you know.

Not much difference really .5 of generic teb plus 1 lt of ctl is more than £4/ac to me whilst opti is just under £6 and I have to open more bottles.

I'm not one to splash too much chem about especially if it's not a necessity but amistar opti will cost me £5 acre and now we've had a bit more rain I think I'll put it on next week. I don't see this as an extra cost because it'll save a few quid on the T1 which at the moment I think may be epoxi+ctl or if mildew is there then I'll go with mantra+ctl which seems well priced.
