We have owned a Puma 185 since 2012 which has been a very reliable machine. I am beginning to think of adding another tractor because my older JD tractors are getting long in the tooth to rely on.
Two questions I would like answered are which T7 NH is the smallest LWB tractor? Secondly are the CVX gearboxes reliable to high hours, since I only have experience of the powershift box?

I’m guessing that since there aren’t many comments on here about them, either not many are sold or they just work away without issues.

Sorry I meant that there are never many threads complaining that their auto command gearbox has exploded and bankrupted the owner!

Even if it does go bang, £5,500 sorts it so not a disaster. My neighbour had one go but it had been misused by a multitude of young drivers as it was the students tractor.

Had a 7050 autocommand with q75 loader on did just over 11500 in the 4 years I had it and was a great tractor apart from regular servicing and brakes once at 7000 odd hours was a very cheap tractor to run

Smallest LWB are the 7030/T7.220/T7.230 depending on what age you're looking at. Can't agree with the comments about the smallest in the range being dead or too heavy for its power because the 7030 I drive is completely standard and will walk all over remapped 6080s. Maybe the 6080s have been badly mapped but the 7030 has guts like nothing else I've driven, it just hangs on and doesn't want to die. Haven't any experience of the auto command gearbox unfortunately.
