I’m not sure what the towing vehicle is, but I think it’s a Multidrive. If it hasn’t been registered as a tractor, it’s most likely registered as an Agricultural Machine, which means it shouldn’t be towing and any driver should be 21. The only self propelled ag machine that can tow anything is a combine, and only it’s own header. Different rules for telehandlers

The van will be using road fuel and the towing vehicle will be on red, which is a big no-no. But that’s a HMRC issue, not police. There is nothing securing the rear of the van.

The strap on the rear wheel of the Loadall is too low to be doing any good, if it’s on the tow hook it needs to be secured and not just a long strap from one side to the other.

I’m not saying it’s all wrong or passing any judgement, just saying what I think a police officer will see.

He was stopped because the whole load just looks a shambles.
I've read @Cab-over Pete various trials and tribulations over the tears trying to do the job right and full credit to him.

Don't be a willy. be like Peter

Thanks Dave, but I’ve sailed close to the wind in years past so won’t claim to be perfect.

The way I run my business seems different to others. I don’t want to be 30+ miles from home working and then having to get transport home at night. I work in a smaller radius so the spreader gets me home, but many spreading contractors seems to go many miles and hours away from home, therefore needing a van or something. That opens up a whole load more problems to overcome.
