So today , 2 days. We have been setting up and fitting the combi drill. 5m.

All plugged in today and turned on tractor. Isobus not loading. Not shaking hands with drill. Or drill not shaking hands with tractor.

John deere 7r. Greenstar.

Tried plugging it into a 215r greenstar. Same again.

So is there a problem with the drill or the tractor.

When plugged in the seed sensor green lights are constant flashing. But nothing happening n the isobus loading. Doesn't even locate the drill In implements.

It's as if the drill doesn't even exist on the isobus.

What am I missing?

The Coulter pack is mounted behind the power Harrow and runs a multi pin plug to the front hopper this is then isobus cabled back to the rear of the tractor as we don't have front isobus.

I'm pretty sure Kuhn have had issues with JD isobus not working properly. I say If you are running a cable from the front hopper to the back they will tell you that is the problem.
Yes I know it works as seen it done it on a couple of blue tractors, but Kuhn said they don't warrant it.
If you can back the tractor to the hopper and do away with the extension and see it that makes a difference.
Make sure you have 2 12v feeds at the isobus socket, if there is not enough current flow if won't power up the controller properly and then won't transfer any data to the tractor.

Thanks. I did back a 215 to it and plug it in. But nothing on that isobus.

Next stage is to back the massey onto it and see if that works as the massey is trimble. See if that works. Kind of sucks if it is the greenstar and the 7r is much more suitable for the size of the combi. But only 50hp between the 2 tractors.

So update.

7r blew the front pto out. So had to swap to the massey 305. New isobus box on the front sorted that talking issue.
Now I'm having issues with running it with trimble.

Isobus hasn't loaded implement settings and GPS not working with the drill.

Went to test it today and got no speed reading on the isobus screen, drill will drop say its seeding and then stop seeding and keeps going into manual mode.

Looks.like it's going to be a long week as weather is good and should be drilling by now.

Starting to get frustrated with it now and not impressed at all.

Surely this is the supplying dealers problem to fit it up and make it work ?

Yes and no. They have fitted it to.work with the isobus. Now that's working its down to me to fine tune it to work in the field.

Going to take time to get used to the system and how it works out. Plus the settings with early shut off and on.
Just seeing if anyone has had the same issues and if they have worked them out.
