as

but don’t all buying groups start out with low overheads and as they get bigger the running costs go up , why will this not happen with yours ?

none have ever stated out with a digital platform that could cope with 20,000 or more members and need no admin staff ...... thats the difference, this gets cheaper with scale not more expensive, it will never need a fancy head office and lots of staff , if it does it will have failed and fallen into the trap you mention others do

That's my delivery today , 10 kgs of traditional Meadow Mix delivered to a small farm near Uckfield in person and I have seen the fields , yesterday I was dropping seed of on Farms near Hereford, View attachment 952151

you must need sone tidy margins to cover such excellent service ? would 0.5% margin even cover your delivery

Good service is brilliant..........but it does come at a cost

can unsubsidised agriculture afford that ?

Own boss with small overheads . You will never beat him on price . I could have sent the two Hereford drops and charge carriage, but I was travelling that way and had the stuff in my store so cost me nothing to drop it off and hopefully the customer will remember that and buy again, same with the one in Sussex
I think unsubsdised agg can well afford me [emoji23]
And many small men like me
After all I'm known in West Wales as the man who trashed the straw job for Merchants by using cheap rate back loads [emoji23]

I would further add that quality of service is 80% and price is 20%
I am quite proud in the fact that I have kept all my regulars going in straw up to now this winter, who depend on me, some having very large dairy herds , not that its going to my head as I am always grateful that they give me their continued support

£505 delivered up here. Can get it a fair bit cheaper locally

If you can let us know who that would be useful as this deal is from a company down south, so prices to get up Scotland are quite high. The software allows us to run different suppliers for different regions. DM if you would prefer.

Super pleased to announce that very soon HALSO UK FUELS LTD will be joining the Farmdeals stable.
