We can’t complain about them at low pressure. In certain instances, put them to work at low inflation pressures feeding some horsepower through them.
Mitas are making tyres the same as the old continental and are supplied on some new tractors so arent a budget tyre,id say more middle of the road. Budget would be more like ceat, ozka, gri and tianli. We can’t complain about them at low pressure.
I’d class Alliance and mitas as a budget tyre, which we have had issues with at low pressure.
Continental in my opinion were not worth the air inside them, the only set of tyres we have taken off a tractor with tread on them. They were splitting from the inside out on the side walls for no apparent reason.Mitas are making tyres the same as the old continental and are supplied on some new tractors so arent a budget tyre,id say more middle of the road. Can you get Michelin’s? With the sags grant in Scotland there’s been a lot of vf tyres bought, we’ve got 2 sets of Bridgestone vf, Michelin’s were also quoted but there was no stock available. They’d shut due to COVID and fallen behind. Will it be worth more at trade in with a half worn set of michelins on though
Michelin have got 5 710s available for the ukCan you get Michelin’s? With the sags grant in Scotland there’s been a lot of vf tyres bought, we’ve got 2 sets of Bridgestone vf, Michelin’s were also quoted but there was no stock available. They’d shut due to COVID and fallen behind.
Trelleborg are unfit for purpose below is a picture of VF 710/60/38 at 3k odd hours, utter rubbish. The new Trelleborg 1060s vf tyres are worth a look. Trelleborg used to claim there tyres were suitable for low pressures but they were not hence all the side wall damage and cracking people have experienced. The Michelin ultraflex is definitely the best with a huge lengthways footprint with minimal side bulge. I would be very sceptical of putting 400hp through a BKT at low pressures.

I have the exact same tyres on my Valtra, I hope they age better than those though!Trelleborg are unfit for purpose below is a picture of VF 710/60/38 at 3k odd hours, utter rubbish.View attachment 947356
Try Bridgestone, vx for road. VF for fieldworkWhat’s the BKTs 650/75/38s like? Or what’s the alternative brand options for that size? Don’t think my budget can stretch to a Michelin or Trelleborg, unfortunately

Have our 933 on 900 bkt and they have been good. Drop them down to less than bar for dd and up for strip till. Do a far bit of road work and wear better than our xeiobibs.936 is needing some new IF boots before long. BKTs are coming in considerably less than anything else, 5k less than one brand. Are they worth a punt? The trelleborgs have done well doing nearly 6k hours with tread left but side walls are starting to crack. Never run BKTs on high hp tractor before, anyone with any experience?
No wonder xeobibs only rated to 220HPHave our 933 on 900 bkt and they have been good. Drop them down to less than bar for dd and up for strip till. Do a far bit of road work and wear better than our xeiobibs.
