If you saw what it costs & the waste involved in this WEF shindig you would be appalled, the place crawls with creeps on the make & big business of all sorts splashing the cash, shops let out their premises for hundreds of thousands to be gutted have new temporary frontage built with internet names splashed all over amongst many others & then restored for the 3 weeks it takes, the ladies of the night do an absolute roaring trade there for that week.
Yes, the press aren't allowed into some of their meetings at Davos, bit like the Bilderberg group. Apparently 800 jets fly in for Davos, so why believe what they say about the net zero emergency. WEF,WHO,GAVI are based in Geneva and are immune to Swiss government prosecution so they can do what they like.

I heard Tom Bradshaw on farming today earlier. He was banging on about food security and exports in the same breath.

No one quite wants to admit there's a great deal of potential supply, which will only be forthcoming if and when it's an economic proposition.
Politicians aren’t concerned with food security. Most are only looking at next election and how to get their snouts in trough either before or after.

Your right about potential supply but not if 10% planted in trees that the Welsh propose.

Listened to some rewilding prat on the radio this morning talking of the terrible damage grey squirrels & deer are doing to forestry all over the country, his laughable answer to this problem was letting lynx go in the wild & perhaps compensate farmers for lamb losses, what he didn't mention was exactly how many lynx would be needed to be released all over the country to solve the problem.
This is the kind of idiotic prat MPs now listen to for gods sake!

I've speculated on that for a while now.
I'm left wondering whether the local 'facilities' are adequate, or whether extra help has to brought in to lend a hand?
Indeed, presuming some tastes are different, all manner of extra 'staff' must follow such camps (WEF/G7/COP etc)
Do you think there's discreet official recognition of these necessities when officials are in talks with hosts?

Fascinating....to a grubby little oik anyway.

Surprising how far they will travel to attend such important eco meetings. ;)

None so blind as those that will not see

You don’t get it do you

Public forum searchable by any search engine

All you’re doing is damaging the debate and possibly keeping wavering NFU members when they read that bile

Well done for the original poster for modifying his post

Tensions and emotions are high I accept but you’re actually making the situation worse
I will say, I am not an NFU member, but I watched her debate George Monbiot at the Hay Book Festival (with a very biased chair person for the debate, and partisan crowd ~nearly all Guardian reading Monbiot fans), and I thought she did very well.

Shes brilliant in that situation, really is. Unfortunatley their is a fair few negatives to offset that.

I dont really know what you union members expected from Minette. NFU has always been toothless , just jobs for the boys really. Like i have said before I know Minette and i would count her as an acquaintance so the personal insults are best left out of it .

We expect her to stand up for farmers, the new green rubbish is hated by virtually all farmers and allows supermarkets/ big businesses to steal assets from us. She is a bit like a porter at a block of flats opening the door and telling a burglar where the goodies are .

There is a difference between being useless and nefarious. RT/GFC/net zero 2040 is nefarious, that's the difference. Why do stuff that is against the interest of farmers with no gain for them? It's playing into weakening us

I wouldnt offer any deeply personal insult than to say I find her two faced. I don't think that's an awful thing to say

The invase Muntjac deer is causing the most devastation to our ancient woodlands. Given their ludicrous birthrate (higher than 1 per year, they don't have a birthing season), the numbers of lynx required to get on top of these critters would be extraordinary. I think my .223 is perhaps more efficient.
