Roughly what does a singing and dancing parlour that spec cost these day? I wouldn't have a clue £150k?

£115k fitted, after accounting for grant aid available on the plate cooler, cluster flush and seg gate.

Although I’ve gone for non-ICAR approved meters which saves approx £5k

Will be more now as prices were due to go up 7% mid April. Same parlour would have cost £10k less if ordered before Christmas, that’s the speed prices are moving at.

More money than I was originally looking at spending, but looks cheap against a new 150hp tractor when you compare what it will earn me over the next 25-30 years.

A 20:40 Delaval with similar fixtures that you have opted for wasnt much less when we priced it 10 years ago.

Agreed, price inflation on parlour equipment has been less than other items, although that seems to be altering now

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
