Had a fastrac 2135 carting maize long distance yesterday 14 other tractors running some 40kph some 50kph the fastrac couldn’t get up a slight hill in the field that all the other tractors flew up and on the road it was no quicker than any other 50kph tractor didn’t impress me

Fastrac should of got the same hill if tyre pressures were let down a bit

We also have a few 185-65’s.
This is only some of the fleet, as some are out on hire, so I can never get them all together!

Thanks for sharing @CowBale, is this one of yours? Saw it on the freeway in Perth back in 2013.

CHRISTY THAT TANKERS PLENTY BIG ENOUGH!

Bet they get some stick been on hire with them behind them, i can imagine any 50k + machine will fair to well being abused (making a sweeping assumption people hiring them will abuse them !)

You wouldn’t believe the state that some of them come back in.
We’ve had them back with no glass in, radios missing (audio and cb), weights gone, etc, etc?

I used to own a 2140 4ws. I liked it, only main bug bearer was the beep you had to wait every time you changed direction. For my line of business it was a pain so changed to Fendt. But i do still have a soft spot for jcb. I did demo the new series with fendt vario and it was nice to drive. Would have it on farm but not for my horse business.

You might find a 2155 a bit cheaper. Identical in every except for the ECU, but was £4 cheaper when new.
solved by a chip costing £400 which will take the hp to 215. That is what I did.
They are really scarce over here in South Africa. A few 2170s that I know of. No new ones sold anymore. Know of one 4000 series imported from the UK earlier this year

Was it a safety feature on the fastrac the beep for engaging forward or reverse?
