Thanks for all
I just put cnh backend oil in mine last change. Will check grade. What tipe oil is used in gearbox?
They're the ones to get if you can find one. They'll be getting expensive though as few and far between if your looking for a tidy onestill looking now thinking 3185 smooth shift.
The earliest one I ever had was a 1135. It was a great tractor, but it had a problem with the clutch becoming very sharp when it got warm. Smooth-shift sorted the problem out with the 2135’s.Sorry about the old thread resurrection but seems to be the place to ask-I’m in the market for either an old unimog or fastrac. 20k budget to smarten up and put on a straw rake and trailer in summer…. Unimog would be like a 1300 type thing and fastrac I’m thinking 145-we used to have 1135 and 3185 and I do fancy another jcb really…are the real early ones reliable? Spares ok still?
Yeah our old 1135 was the same…I was thinking a 145 turbo like early 90’s era as they don’t seem to make much. I am leaning toward the unimog for reliability…just visibility isn’t great out the backThe earliest one I ever had was a 1135. As far as I know spares are not a problem for earlier models. In fact, knowing JCB quite well, I’d say that spares for any JCB tractor or loader wouldn’t be difficult to obtain.
I’m not sure what you will get for £20K.
There are some on here that would just about fit your price. But I’d avoid the 1115 unless its engine was replaced with the ones fitted to the 1135.
You can’t buy a unimog they are all used for tree surgeons and posing from what I can make outYeah our old 1135 was the same…I was thinking a 145 turbo like early 90’s era as they don’t seem to make much. I am leaning toward the unimog for reliability…just visibility isn’t great out the back
Our old 1135 ended up a Coventry Airport. They looked after it well.Think my old 1135 is for sale again. Be outwith budget I'd think though.
This is a real concern…but they do seem to cope better than a fasty with abuse. Tried that one in Cheffins unsold…had done no end of work but still very driveable. 12000 I think the reserve. But would want ag specYou can’t buy a unimog they are all used for tree surgeons and posing from what I can make out
We have a jd 6420 which may go as part ex if the right tractor came along…but with things how they are I’m loathed to let it go as it’s a cracker…just no tls or cab suspension.Think my old 1135 is for sale again. Be outwith budget I'd think though.
Yeah sounds like I should try for a 2135 or something if we go down that route…smoothshift…I recall the knee ache our 1135 used to give. Our old 1135 ended up a Coventry Airport. They looked after it well.
Nonetheless, 10 years later it was for sale for more than I sold it for!
Have a clear out and treat yourself to an ICON .Yeah sounds like I should try for a 2135 or something if we go down that route…smoothshift…I recall the knee ache our 1135 used to give.
