Hi anyone had this problem with these balers and found a cure yet baling away lovely then every few bale's goes to net knife goes throw the bale out with no net on because it's full of straw where the net falls down ontop of that spinny roller does it in hay as well and today baling oats that are breaking up it's driving me crazy wondered if anyone had found a way to stop it doing that. Cheers

Drive as fast as the baler will take it is the only way we have found that helps
Yep it's getting a kicking today I've just seen it do it now come to end of the row and it's just thrown a bit out through the hole between the rollers might have to go at midnight see if it doesn't fall apart so much

Iirc slow the baler revs down to about 420 - 480rpm and drive into row as fast as you dare, used to be a rubber flap available that slip down between the netter and the belts somewhere.
Speed definitely helped today but too fast for conditions sometimes I'll have to look into the rubber strip idea baled another 200 since problems this aft hasn't done it once since dinner tonight straws not breaking up as much they are one hell of a baler let down by a stupid netting system

In really bad stuff you'll have to stop the pto when you're not taking fresh straw in when turning etc and as above just feed it as much as possible.

I'm on a 3yr old v 160 and twice I've just had to give up and go back in the dark / damp to get oat straw done also less pressure and less pto speed helping as well

Ours has the rubber strip in which I made by copying it off a contracts baler, all I did was buy a metre square of rubber off eBay and a couple of bits of inch angle iron and they don’t take a lot of making I can pull it out when I have a minute give you the dimensions if you want to make one

Baled 70000+ bales with a 435 and never had that rubber strip, slow the PTO down to about 420-450 and fill the pick up starting a bale, sometimes it's best if the straw is that dry and fluffy is to bale when it's cooler and damper, I've been having problems with straw this year too running a Krone comprima it's the year been baling at nights and first thing in mornings

Get the rubber flap if you can, the net system is simple enough when you get used to it, i'd certainly rather a welger net system than the old john deere type on the back door with all that talcum powder carry on!

The rubber sheet came with all balers from the factory but was taken out as it'll cause as many problems as it cures in normal conditions.

It might help but it's just the kind of year it is !!

Most fixed chamber balers round here are parked up until dark they just can't do anything with it and the only belt baler that I know of that isn't giving any issues is an older type jd but they loved everything bone dry. Welger mchale kuhn Vicon and new Holland all having issues locally

I had hoped the newer style lely/agco ones like yours with the moving net roller would have sorted the material build up issues. I've been at some axial flow stuff this week with no bother except a little plug at one side leaving a tatty side to the net. Too hot/dusty to dig it out every so often, so I'll live with it, mainly cosmetic.

This is a 545, though. I think the geometry/space just works better on the big ones. Is there a v180 in our area (w. Blanerne was the other 545 that I knew of)?

To be fair thr new ones are a lot better due to the moving roller it can be full of straw you can still net bales. That's my brother in laws in the pic and still netting bales.
If uou drive it right that very rarely happens.

This year I've had lot's of issues I've never seen before like bales not turning as tgr pressure comes on etc

The bigger ones are a lot less hamster farm you mentioned always had the bigger ones then got a 435 as a fire replacement and hated it. They just lost a baler yesterday again to fire

Anyone with a fendt /agco round baler with the new netting system with the conveyor belt , that won’t put net edge to edge ?and puts straw up between the belts and net system?

Yes plenty online, they now use a chute system with an arm that folds up and feeds the net onto the bale ,but they should have kept it off the market until they did more testing.
Several new machines round here znd not heard anything bad yet I assumed they were unchanged.

I'd better get a demo !!
