Do you hope they do or be relieved to find out that they don’t?

I don't know really, there's a lot of negativity, how much is real and how much is people liking a moan, I don't know.

I think if you read a variety of posts it shows that many aren't doing that badly.
Get past the, I hate the NFU, RT and Supermarkets, and there's a lot of, how do I reduce tax, what to invest in, rental house and other business topics that show many aren't just farmers.
There's a lot of threads started by lifestyle farmers, too, they want to start farming because they love it but it's not how they made money. TFF can help them which is good.
I wonder how many with no knowledge of farming read the forum and what their view of British ag is after reading it?

Don't ever look at the British Farming Forum FB pages then. I'm regularly ashamed of what my fellow farmers post on there for the public to read!

No. Don't do Facebook.

I do watch way too much YouTube (I know, I lead a sad life) there's loads of UK farming channels on there now with hundreds of thousands of subscribers and millions of views. I don't think any stick their head up and post on TFF though?

This is typical. Depressingly typical.

Answers (most of the other 381 are equally arrogant, offensive and stupid).

I remember some posts from somebody who said they were a serving police officer on the BFF and were watching what was said @Cowabunga
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Could you be a bit more precise? The only police I recall on this or the other forum were commenting on towing regulations I think. That was a long time ago. I only read a fraction of topics so may have missed some 'action'. :scratchhead:
What's this topic about? I'll have to read it from the start I suppose. Been carting slurry all day and I think the accumulators on the front suspension are shot.

Would people that look but don't post be classed as members ?
Would folks that post once a month be classed as members ?

Genuine question.

of course they are members  ......takes a lot of confidence to post on any forum and lets face it it can be a 'meat grinder' sometimes and thats not everyone's idea of 'entertainment'

i'm also in favour of ppl being to able to view as guests

it's true of all forums....a small % produce the vast majority of posts

Tff is a great very thankful for what @Clive has done. I’ve learnt a lot from it over the years

It will go one of two ways in my opinion

stagnate, reached its peak users, if you want to be on it’s you probably are by now it’s a matured forum now .

Or keep going strength to strength, with innovation just like what Facebook keeps doing .I’m sure it will be this one .(y):D

It amazes me, BFF were quite rigorous with their moderation back in the day yet BFF on Facebook seems like a free for all.

Other thing that surprises me is that BFF on Facebook seems to have droves of followers yet the forum last time I looked was hardly ticking over.
On the other hand TFF is bustling yet I see very little from TFF on Facebook and what I do see hardly gets any reaction.
