Worst machine owned or used?

Hydraulics can drive a lot of kit, slurry tankers, post knocker, cubicle dispensers, road sweepers,
Greatest problem with high power hydraulics is the heat they produce. Years ago I worked on hydraulic driven sugar cane machines. The cane cutter needed about 150 hp at full chat. The heat from the oil coolers nearly cooked the cane cart drivers who ran alongside.

I think so . I think they also made a big square baler for MF , it was a heap of crap too. I knew a contractor who had one and couldn't wait to get rid of it again!
I had a Massey no 4 baler pile of shite. It kept throwing the chain off the packer then the plunger would smash it up. After a few of these incidents with patience heating up the packer crank and straightening it all up we decided to fit a chain guide rail to keep the chain on the sprockets. It was a success the modification worked! Once it decided it couldn’t do that anymore the gearbox smashed up.

Awful clutch/gearbox, weak back end, daft big exhaust right in front of your face, poor brakes, all in all just horrible, and that was coming from an ap cab ford 5610 with the sticks between your legs, would have gone back to it in a heartbeat!

A Polish made round baler. (I won't name it here as I am still considering proceedings against the Polish Mafia sharks who sell this shite and don't want to embarrass the British agent who acted in good faith.

Bought brand new. Polish made import, based on a Krone something or other.
Sounds like a bag spanners when run up.
Very lucky if it ever throws the net full width.
Very lucky if it manages to cut the net off cleanly.
Very lucky if it doesn't wrap the net round the grass feed roller.
Too often it wraps grass round the feed roller and self destructs every so often with no warning, no slip clutch. First thing you know is front of baler and net knife bows out.
Struggles to make a tight enough bale of silage for the wrapper even when it's moaning and groaning on full pressure setting and bringing 100 hp to its knees.

Makes a JD550 look excellent.

Biggest pile of shite we ever bought with no back up from the manufacturer whatsoever. They even managed to seriously damage the one poxxy replacement part they sent free issue after the last self destruction.

Never buy a polish round baler however good a price it seems to be.

Worst purchase ever. Should have known.

But gradually redesigning it and getting there eventually. I won't be beaten.

We have one. I often wonder if the heat from the exhaust will crack the windscreen as the glass gets too hot to hold your hand on. Must be Pyrex because so far, it hasn't.

What trouble did the Teagle give?
Drive sprocket made of very soft metal and has worn, the bed self destructed causing damage to the rotors and the WiFi controls seem to be unresponsive for fun along with a few niggles with build quality such as the removable bars on the tailgate that hold the chain are only tack welded on and are ripping off, a problem I have seen on others and several oil leaks which the dealer hasn’t sorted out.
It’s under 3 years old and has caused more problems/bills in that time than my KV did in 15

Returning to the 23c engine for a moment, with a simple cyl head mod, it becomes one of the best engines to sit behind. Its quiet, smooth, and more powerful than the clattery perkins! And ,yes, I didnt believe it either, till I drove a modified one! It even starts instantly!
The T Twenty diesel we had was the opposite, used every day, in the morning, it took three men to start, two on the starting handle, and one on the seat!

Could you enlarge on the mod?

Tarrup mower / swather .
Was good when running made a decent job but the swather was driven off a hydraulic pump driven by the pto , when swathing the belt telescoped out to one side and if it went wrong and you had to stop the pto quick you couldn’t get out the gate be cause of the swather sticking out .
Ended up we ran pipes and ran it off a spool.
