whats actually happened poss by accident is there will be an age gap in older 7720 & up masseys just not there in the used market at 3-5yrs old say as they couldnt sell anymore of them
because of engine regs they were all T4 final remember once the engines were used up by whoever powers that cover that control that was it.
Even tho the smaller chassis 7716S to 7719S and still available to buy even today as they moved to Tier5 nearly 2years ago.
The bigger ones never did that move, new model coming soon was the reason.
That model poss due to covid & whatever else new model reasons has been delayed somewhat in the end.
Launched July 2020 & there only just available just before xmas or early Jan as folks have seen.
Ive even heard of old stock T4 7700 tractors not allowed to be registered after a certain date so dealers couldnt even sell them on.
you couldnt insure them also. all because of rules n regs to keep the polar bears happy.
So what happens them tractors? Possibly shipped to austrailia as they are behind in emmissions regs

Looking at a new massey 205hp. Next model up is 225hp and £3300 more. We don’t really need the extra power. In 5 years time with 2500 hrs on it will the higher horse power tractor be worth around 2k more.?.

we run three masseys a -6499-7616 and 7720s all have a place on the farm,i don't see any change in the work that they do I have fitted lower pressure gas struts on doors to make them easier to close ,a light over the controls in cab much safer at night and will make interior light came when getting into cab which was standard on the 6499 when we both it.

Ha, ha, I bet you don't have a first year apprentice on site do you, no gate posts or phone poles are safe now with them on site.

I can't say too much. I've been operating equipment for 26 yrs now and still managed to slide sideways down a hill and have the scrape blade on the rear of the tractor smack the guide wire to a not so sound phone pole causing it to snap in two and come down while I was doing some clean up. Starting to understand why a lot of people don't like radials on muddy hillsides :/

If you don't mind me asking what kind of light setup did you wind up with. I've really been wanting to install some dim led's around to light the controls up in the cab...

Hi re interior light,i fitted a massey interior light part number 3786673m1 cost about £35,this is fitted next to cool box in Massey tractors and wired into the back of the heater controls in the roof lining, you need to cut a hole in the roof lining about 40 mm dia, just need to take out cool box to gain access to fit light, wire is a live and negative,i also painted the edge of the light that shines into your eyes, this mode was standard on 6400 series masseys hope this helps.

HS agri on youtube has a brief video of one & guess what from new it needed its shuttle recalibrated.
howay massey you need to try a bit harder.

I used to calibrate every tractor on PDI when I was on the tools. That way you know everything is right and you won't have to go back out to it early doors. That was our job as dealers. Is that not normal good practice?

Well, that Massey is much improved. I note they have done so by using a lot of Valtra parts though.

That two track JD autonomous tractor looks genius. I wonder what the battery life is like? I suppose a hydrogen fuel cell could be used instead, fill it up with hydrogen to get the required daily longevity out of it?

Once you have programmed the tractor with the necessary information, including where masts, pylons and poles are in the field it will just avoid them. Throw in some low-rent optical cameras to give it half a chance to spot unexpected objects in the field and you're golden.

People might ask: 'well ok, how do I get it in the gateway, across a bridge or down the road'- easy, with remote controls. Steer it into the field manually and press Go and off it will trundle.
