Another (but different) Wellie thread

Bekina’s are utter rubbish. Starts splitting within a month. Another wellie for the dog walker. Skellerup’s are for the dog walker also.

Still trying to buy a pair of these Le Chameau’s but the whole of the UK are out of my size and no sign of them coming back in.

The noratherm sole isn't very self cleaning. In fact you end up with a ball of mud on bottom of your foot. Never had that problem with any wellies before. We don't have heavy sticky clay land.

Will help me shed some Christmas kgs.

Possibly because the sole doesn't flex much?
I've only had mine on in deep water and really wet sloppy stuff so far.

In the market. Current pair of Le Chameau Ceres has split after about 2 years. I had a pair before (a steel toed version) that split on the same foot, otherwise I could've matched new and old to get more use out of them. Albeit different colours.

But I now fancy a change, a bit of excitement in the wellington boot adventure, plus the price of the Ceres is getting a bit high. I do like how light weight and comfortable they are though. I will be buying cotton lined as I find neoprene too hot, even in winter.

Ruling out muck boots as no grip, plus the heel inside lining doesn't last any time. Those were neoprene. Ugly boots.

Dunlop Purofort thermo plus I gave to my dad. Too heavy. Warmest pair of boots ever though, amazing grip.

Something with a bit of style wouldn't go amiss. Considering Aigle Chambord Pro 2. Elegant, meets my criteria, not stupidly priced by today's standards.. Any reviews?

How many hours a day roughly would you be wearing your wellies? I am waiting for the Ceres as recommended here to come back into stock and it looks like more than a month away and now my muck boots are letting water in. If yours have split twice, I may have to follow your path on another wellie.

Will look into the wellies you listed.

Probably about 10-12 hours a day, hardly at all in the summer. They endure muck, slurry, fertiliser, etc so not too displeased with the longevity of the Ceres, they are the best boot I've had up to now. Just fancy something different. Anyway, have now ordered some Aigle Cambord Pro 2s for £55 plus VAT, plus £4.50 postage. Will see how they last.

I work on farm and currently have the Dunlop Purofort brand which are lightweight. This is the first ever pair of Dunlop Purofort wellies I ever had and must say are No.1 !! I wear them with the tops turned down for which are even more comfortable.
