No don’t need one yet but when I do I will give them serious consideration, my lads boss is selling them and they have sold quite a few in short period of time .I'm not in the slightest bit familiar with this make apart from this thread, but they look ok to me.
Did you go for one @Hilly?
I think they're completely different machine though. Price (at least here) is very close to Polaris and Can-am.Saw a video of a Segway Snarler 600 ( cool name ) that looks same sort of thing as a cfmoto
Oh,I doubt they share anything, but there's loads of four wheeled things with petrol engines, most are belt drive so in principal they're similar. The cream will rise to the top and the crap will sink to the bottom as with all things.I think they're completely different machine though. Price (at least here) is very close to Polaris and Can-am.

having used it most of today, i cant say you need it, maybe for when sitting stationary but definitely not on the Road,Do you think it would be better with it?
Good job there. I bought a front box for ours. Wydale I think. The shape meant I had to take the guards off the handle bars which annoyed me a bit.Added a front storage box and I made myself a back shelf/dog rack as I encountered a problem I didn’t have before, too much acceleration meant the meal bags kept flying by off the back. as someone had stated before the Lock is poor, but manageable,
and the gear stick is a tad awkward, TBH i think its just positioned in the wrong place, hard to get at under the handle bars.
I've tested it today with everything from dragging a brut of a dead ewe up a hill/field i could hardly stand on for being so wet and muddy.
another ewe down with TLD and took trailer across field with ease ,
basically everything i need doing ticked in one day,
so far so good
it's probably because i'm into a bigger quad, had a 300 Polaris before this. You only really benefit from power steering if your going slowly IMO, like creeping round at lambing time or spot spraying. Worth it's weight in gold then.
Don't cfmoto claim to have 'class leading turning circle'?
getting on great, have used her every day over lambing doing all the tasks and hasn't missed a beat and did every thing i've expected of it, More than happyHow are you getting on with the cfmoto? Having seen second hand prices, thinking this would be a good buygor the money and the bonus of a warranty.
Your first paragraph is the whole reason that the main manufacturers pulled out of OZ.. their argument was two-fold... firstly quads are designed for active riding..... shifting your body weight...if you need roll over protection buy a side by side which is fitted with a certified roll frame...and secondly, although the safety authorities are mandating the fitment of roll over protection, there has been no independent testing to prove their efficacy, unlike the US, where independent testing has proved they can cause injury. Incidentally, some of the devices, especially those being sold in NZ and Au are bolted to the rear carrier frame, which has a load rating of 80kg.. easily overloaded in a dynamic rolloverHad a good mate killed by a tap on the temple from a rollbar, I can see why manufacturers don't wish to go down that rabbit-hole in an increasingly litigious society.
On the CF Moto machines, alot of ex quad owners get them as a "cheap demo" into the world of side by sides, and a few quads getting around too.
As someone said upthread the gearchange feels a little bit clunky but you get used to it... better than your overdraft being clunky, just to buy something with a "reputable name", any machine is capable of being a smoke machine
Meanwhile we don’t even have helmet laws in every state for road use. Be a cold day in hell before they try and enforce it on farm.Had a good mate killed by a tap on the temple from a rollbar, I can see why manufacturers don't wish to go down that rabbit-hole in an increasingly litigious society.
