Pretty much non stop rain since about 8 this morning along with extreme winds.Dread going to feed ewes and lambs tomorrow, have about 110 couples outside,we simply don't have enough space to keep them all inside.Every bit of shed space is taken up by the latest arrivals.Fingers crossed.

.???? For real??
Don't think any land in these parts will see aplough much before April unless we have an extraordinary change very soon. Between rain and snow melt we haven't been this wet in the Borders for a long time

Been up to Kelso a few times in the past 3 months and the river has been pretty full every time, but I hear the show field was flooded on Monday when it eventually burst it’s banks, and anyone that knows Kelso the river had a fair way to rise before it crosses the road to show ground

Yes, been ploughing all week. We've been very lucky being on east coast. Most weather systems coming out of west fizzled out before they've reached us.

Dennis hasn't really came to much so far either.

We have had it better than most but it is dtill to feckin wet to plough. Managed 10 ac on Thursday with a wee touch of frost but bottom of field too slippy Friday morn then rain came on.
Sounds windy just now but not too rainy. Will find out in 5 minutes after my cup of tea.....

The pond near our house has finally brimmed over and another has appeared on the lawn.

Chap that lives along our drive has never seen it so bad in over 30 years.

We have flooded ground all along the field in front of the house and the wind is raging through the trees round the pond. Hell of a night. Over 1 1/2 inches during the night.

We are up on a good high bit though so not too worried about the house!

The village pond came up 6 inches last night ........wish I could do that in a night the misses would be so pleased !!!
Went out for a romantic meal with the mrs last night, got back and went to check lambing shed, one ewe heaving in corner, so had a look, rotten lamb coming backwards, took nearly an hour to get it out.
The romance fizzled out after that.?.

Going back to the weather, bloody horrendous last night, not seen rain like it ever. This wet weather has been going on now for nearly half a year now and i,m bloody sick of it. You really do need a sound mind to put up with it at the moment, not sure how young lambs would cope outside in that last night.

Same here in the Severn Vale. Never seen ground wet so continuously for many years. Need some sun on our backs now

There’ll be a hosepipe ban in the Summer almost guaranteed! The Welsh Reservoirs must be brim full now as all the others. Wonder what they did with the one in Derbyshire which failed last summer?

I think it was going to be a long term job, several years fixing that. Presumably the water or at least as much as possible is passing straight through.

It been a dismal winter for the West Highlands. I will say that it's been the wettest. January was 55% more rain than the 10yr average for here. 55% of an already sh!t month is a lot. Stock are starting to go downhill fast now, let's hope for early grass.
