Is front suspension needed in a 40k tractor?

When I owned my 6230 Premium J.D with T.L.S I could cart between 20 and 25% more bales across a field to a wrapper than my mate with a conventional 6620. It actually didn't make too much difference on the road but in the field it was a fantastic option to have specified. Along with a suspended loader it makes life much sweeter on a long day.

we are onto our third t6 now, front axle is decent its not valtra quality suspension but i doubt its valtra price either. the new hollands have all been spec the same here front axle cab and make sure it has a grammer seat in it makes a big diffrence. with valtra it wants the full air suspension package and evo seat, ive driven valtras with front air mech cab and standard seat and it really isnt a patch on on the full air and evo,

I have a case maxxum with front and cab suspension you can hardly tell the front suspension is doing anything compared to my MF 7480 where you can see the suspension continuously moving.
That said the ride is far more comfortable in the case but I put that down to the cab suspension being far superior to the masseys which is basically sh!te.

Not convinced I’d spec front suspension on a 40k NH but cost, use and hours per year would also be part of the consideration

Got front on arion 450 and cab .My do you notice if you have turned it off accidentally when on roads which are so bad these days !An expensive option but worth it .

Mine are all jd but I have one with no suspension, one with just front and one cab and front.
The one with front suspension is better in every situation than the one without and I wouldn’t be without it!
The one with front and cab is just a really nice place to spend 16h + days and is the best option by far.
I’m probably biased but you have to go a long way to beat jd front suspension!

As above. Cab suspension is included but front is an extra. Thoughts

I suppose it depends what you're doing with the tractor and how much extra it is.
If you're not doing much road work and don't drive like a maniac up and down the paddock, is it worth it?
Just something else to go wrong.
Contractors machine doing 2000 hours+ a year its a different matter.

I think CNH have been tweaking their suspension gradually behind the scenes but as you say the seat makes a massive massive difference. The dynamic comfort seat is night and day over the base one.

Yes, a no brainer if you’re doing any speed over 30k.

I immediately notice if it’s switched off on the road. It’s supposed to be better for traction in high draft work also.
This is a fact on draft work. Did the demo on 2 JD 6195Ms. One with front suspension and one without. The one with definitely gripped better and achieved higher ground speed. Tested them on a 6 shank subspoiler

As general rule front suspension makes most difference for haulage and cab suspension is most noticeable for field work although they both help each other. New Holland changed their front suspension when they went to the new shaped roofs with the led lights. The old system wasn't the best and got a bad reputation but it is relatively easy to modify for better performance, the new system does work a lot better. The cab can be upgraded to air suspension but only if you are having the air brakes option. Suspension performance does vary between brands but probably more so between models in brands. Although its possible to spec a tractor with higher performing suspension, a new T6 with front and cab suspension isn't a bad riding tractor anymore. If budget allows an autocomfort seat will make things better again. If your having air brakes anyway the cab air suspension makes a big difference!

I agree the new t6 is alot better in comfort now.
Just demo'd a t6180 and i couldn't believe the ride comfort. We have t7 swb where i work and the t6 was far infront for comfort. Cant remember what model seat it had but really felt smooth.
