A 14’ triaxle with decks and partition gates? When I priced up ‘like for like’(everything seemingly an extra on the Ifor), the Gamic with hydraulic decks was about £1k more, making it a no brainer.
That was several years ago though, and the Gamic has jumped up a bit in price and quality of finish since then. I seem to recall the Ifor was about £5200 then, and struggle to believe they can be bought for that now.
Brother got a new 14ft Ifor last week with decks, dividing gates, etc sure he said £5300 without trade in.

I have no idea, do you ?
Their business model is there own choice but to come out with a statement “ only a farmer could have written that” is somewhat insulting to a lot farmers on here. I would hazard that most businessmen would say if you have a good demand for your product you endeavour to increase production to satisfy that demand before someone else does. They certainly seem happy to lose a lot of business due to their lead times whilst taking on small custom jobs such a scanning crates, dog pens etc but again that is their choice and good luck to them.
Is turnover important though surely profit is king?

The waiting list made me order one though @hally , I can’t see it losing money if they are restricting production, and how many firms do you know that have gone bust by growing too quick? I expect the demand might fall if people aren’t changing as often as the other trailers.

Needs somebody with a new one to pop to weigh bridge to find out, I asked Gamic twice (when trailer was £7.5k) and answer came there none.

Look at a lot of the good sprayer manufactures, Bateman/Sands have 2 year build with almost 3 year on some models/specs. Househam went from almost 2 years to 1 year and lost more customers after that due to not being made to the same standard. Says a lot ?‍♂️

When you collect it you should order another then in 12-18month you have a nearly new trailer to sell no waiting can name your price and set off with your new one again having enjoyed 12-18month free trailering

? It’s never free though, price will have inevitably gone up but for a heavy user it might be no more than an ifor with the benefit of the lifting decks. Tbh the lead time doesn’t bother me know because my ifor is still adequate but long lead times will rule some guys out if theirs has been damaged, knicked or simply need a bigger one but all good things come to those that wait.

Like you say the price will go up so anybody that goes to order when your new trailer is ready will have a price of more than what you've paid for the one you've just got so to them your old trailer at your new trailers price and available immediately will be less than what they'll be paying for there's and having to wait

Your trailer =£9000 on collection you order another =£10000 when that's ready Joe bloggs is pricing one and told £11000 +12-18month wait. You have your £9000 trailer forsale for £9500 at 12-18 month old Joe bloggs thinks he's saving £1500 and getting it immediately everyone's a winner (in theory)
I see, yes it will look to be a good buy once you have bought your first one ( bit like your fendt ) but the first one can be painful......but it’s only money?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
