Heard from someone who was over in Shawbury late morning, and said it was tipping it down... it had pretty well stopped here by then! ?

2.2mm in total, Missed us again.
We were lucky then with 10mm, steady most of the morning . And another shower this morning .

Hard to believe, but one neighbour has some barley down in places this morning.

Didn’t realise you’d missed most of it yesterday
Not a great deal here either, had a soak in the early hours yesterday morning but not enough to damp through the dust, by 7am dry patches were appearing on the yard.
Yesterday was a generally overcast day with a feeling of damp in the air but practically nothing in the way of actual rainfall , you certainly didn’t need a coat.
I have a 500 gallon water trough at the end of a 150 by 50 shed that collects the rainwater and it had about 5 inches in it. No doubt not all the rainfall got that far with it being so dry beforehand and a bit of evaporation but none the less not a lot .

I put up a new rain gauge at the end of April and it is still waiting for something to go in it!

We never had enough to even wet the concrete and looking at the forecast we are unlikely to see any rain for some weeks.
