Tama edge to edge.

Not got the best single rotor rake operator. Any slightly humped in the middle bales were bursting the net. Rondotex were fine.
Also wasn’t keen on the edge to edge when removing net for use in winter. Would tear and leave a strip at the bottom if bale sat on its end.
Edge to Edge was fine at 3000m but when they went to 3600 + m it got that way it will rip instead of coming off the bale if you don't get hold of all of it

Used rontadex 2 years ago, didn't last 3 months on our hay bales all stacked out side but we have never had an issues with any other brand. Had some 2000 bales which we had to feed out with a bucket. Sounds like it was a bad batch rep sent some compensation and a whole palet of wrap. Used it on our silage and added a few extra wraps on the hay we did with it. I think I'll stick to CNH stuff cheaper then tanama seems to last a good while. The New holland should have no trouble with it feeding( plus I wont need to have my back done after trying to hual those massive 4200m rolls tanama rolls)

Has anyone used Epicrop blue 3600m? Had half a pallet as we couldn’t get hold of the maxicover we normally use.

started off great but once reached about 80 bales the net wouldnt pull in. Adjusted the tention of the net and worked for another 20 ish, then the same thing happened again.

i noticed then that the roll is loose on the cone each side where the net is held in place. The inner tube has been shredded out and therefore loose on the cone.

anyone had similar problems before i contract?

Those 4200m rolls of tama are stupidly heavy for a person to lift on their own. What other industry would allow something of that weight to be handled by usually the lone operator and no indication on the packaging about its weight.

If using epicrop,it needs to be the Gold, the others are farmer spec and don’t work as well.

The place where I get my net from said that.they have to use a forklift to move for safety.yet the farmer has to lug them about.not much of an issue on the vicon as it goes on at chest height which does make to the job easier

I never had much of a problem getting it up until last year, I called my Co-op about it, and they were so good, lad in the shop insisted he put me on loud speaker so the management would hear my concerns. I told him it takes a bit of planning now whereas before it was buckle off and straight up it would go.
