TBH, if I was leaving stoke, I wouldn't slow down or pull over until I was a good few miles away!
thought the Highway Code sated 5 vehicles or was it the nfu adviceWhat amount of vehicles is a build up and at what speed does it change to everybody should just follow on behind and be happy
Is it?no its 50mph unless slower speed is posted
yes it isIs it?
I was sure it was 40 on single carriage
Well I never. Didn't know that.yes it is
The new regulations in England and Wales for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) over 7.5 tonnes speed limits rise from 40mph to 50mph on single carriageways, and from 50mph to 60mph on dual carriageways.17 Apr 2015Well I never. Didn't know that.
Someone should tell the agency drivers at Bougheys
I've been more than 5 vehicles back from a car doing 40 on a 60 limit passing places where it could pull overthought the Highway Code sated 5 vehicles or was it the nfu advice
.....that drove a tractor and 30' trailer from Stoke to Shrewsbury today and didn't pull in once to let traffic past. (That's over 30 miles on a single carriageway trunk road)
All the good PR that so many in our industry do without any gratitude just gets dumped on the roadside when a pillock like this lets a mile+ of traffic build up behind him.. .just because he is busy at work.
Tosser!
Well a pretty good test is if you were driving the car 5 vehicles back, with little opportunity to overtake, how many miles would you happily sit there before you were getting impatient? What amount of vehicles is a build up and at what speed does it change to everybody should just follow on behind and be happy
not 25 thenI've been more than 5 vehicles back from a car doing 40 on a 60 limit passing places where it could pull over
Yeah I looked it up myself and genuinely didn't know it had changed, or had forgotten maybe. Haven't driven a truck in that time and nobody seemed to take any notice prior to that anyway with the notable exception of Boughey trucks (local haulage firm) they are renowned for being slow. The new regulations in England and Wales for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) over 7.5 tonnes speed limits rise from 40mph to 50mph on single carriageways, and from 50mph to 60mph on dual carriageways.17 Apr 2015
No 40 in a 60 is that not worse than 25 in a 40not 25 then
Do not hold up a long queue of traffic, especially if you are driving a large or slow-moving vehicle. Check your mirrors frequently, and if necessary, pull in where it is safe and let traffic pass.
no wtf manNo 40 in a 60 is that not worse than 25 in a 40
40 in a 60 is 20mph under speed limit 25 in a 40 is only 15mphno wtf man
