Winter beans look the same here, it's the windchill that has knocked them, hope they spring back into life! Supposed to warm up this week with a chance of low teens at weekend

Our w beans look a bit grim, we bottom out a just under -9, which is get'in kinda close to -12, below which beans are history in my experience.
We only went down to -5C, think it was the wind chill? Anyway they look buggered, agro reckons they may pull through.

I'm sure your guy is right, and yours will pull through, mine I'm not so sure, the three days of cold dry 20/30 kph winds may have tipped some over the edge.
Just have to wait and see.

Here in south Lincolnshire 8cm snow have made heck of a difference Saved crop from the wind chill and the temperature under the snow only just sub zero.

Grew winter linseed 20 plus years ago and have grown out of the t shirt.
It goes very dark and almost blue, the biggest worry is frost heave that shears off the roots. Never had too many losses over winter as it usually tillers out to compensate.

Drilled winter linseed for the first time this season it looked good until Feb frost.
Now it is dead and gone.
Won't happen again.

Sorry to hear that. Actually for definite? Doesn’t it come from Ukraine or somewhere. Mine looks terrible, embarrassed to post for the collection of flourishing weeds with it but I gave it 40kgs N Monday to try and perk it up, might not be very good but doubt it will die.
