Is this a case that beef is a good price and obviously in demand, so nothing is being said about it?
I'm not saying it's sold as RT, just that it's wanted.

Always been the case even when paid buttons.
There should be no penalty for having non-UK cows - and let's be honest, their farms and management are often streets ahead of us (albeit I'm talking Scandi here)
But you would have had foreign tag deductions on price

Do you not get less as culls due to foreign tag though?
Obvs ABP pickstock etc pay less for non uk
Don't sell through ABP and if we are being penalised, it's very well hidden - & TBH, I don't follow the beef market. Not our primary concern

Yes, lower price for foreign tags. I understand they have to do a washdown between UK and other tags
Red tractor has the union flag in the logo, there by declaring British (which most on here would be in favour of?). That means born, reared and slaughtered in UK. Sorry Rick your culls can’t be sold as British (irrespective on length of residency). Could be sold as assured with the red tractor being amended to incorporate a Danish flag. Good luck with that one.

According to the RT website, the animal must have a UK passport, therefore has to have been born here. But not necessarily on a RT assured farm. (yet).
Killed here, but can add none rt meat to ready meals and mince as long as more than 50% is rt, so becomes rt meat
Well that’s fine then as we have to submit the white Danish passport as soon as the heifers are on the holding to BCMS and in return get a U.K. one.

Like when I "exported" a bull to Northern Ireland. A third ear tag with a GB sticker had to be punched in it's ear, pulled out by a DARDNI vet before it arrived at the destination holding - and this is for what admin or welfare wise ?

No. Tag still starts DK but that's the only difference.
Whole thing is utter bollox. Danish tasty is as good as Welsh tasty
Anybody would think there was a premium for RT!
