If I was spending £8500 at least I would insist 'horse' would be spelt correctly.
Used to be a Porsche with GET 1N and a car round here WAN1X :scratchhead:
Only sad attention-seeking eejits have personalised plates. Honestly, it was my wife who insisted I got one for Christmas which is my initials and surname. May as well have a tracker implanted in my skull which may have been her motive.

Nice high maintenance looking lady, riding around locally in a soft top Merc had 50 BJ on that.
Perhaps one day it will upgrade to an Aston Martin.....

I bought my first truck at 20, with four numbers and a letter for a registration number. Sold both separately a few years later, having re-registered the lorry.
The plate made as much as the truck did :D
Pretty much since then I had looked for a particular plate, but when I eventually found it, a few years ago, I couldn't bring myself to pay the 12k it was up for.

Best one I've seen was Fiona Richmonds, PEN 15. She used to live nearby.
I think Steve Parish (Bike/lorry racer) got that one first through DVLA
Close Neighbour got HU60 N JO
Had RAD10 4 behind me on Chiswick round about a very long time ago and there was 1ACS at Entrance to sprays and sprayers the first year IACS was about.
I would like CH I CKS i suppose it would need to be C81CKS

My car came with one with a nice row of letters and numbers, it's not interesting to me but people always comment on it and ask are they initials, business etc. FE11 LPL

Saw a Willy Stobart wagon last week. WS 10 RRY

The clever ones are clever.
The cheap ones are generally cheap looking.

I've a matching pair, on matching cars. One has an 8 and one has a B.
The rest of the plate is junior's initials.
Vain enough to want a private plate, Yorkshire enough to make it last for 2 generations.

3rd car is junior's. I've bought him B19 and his initials. He's not putting it on until he's finished uni or it will be left on blocks at Harper.

They make me smile.

Posh plate was under £1k 19 years ago when we were making a bit of money.
Now worth more than the car it sits on, and the one next to it.

I've seen GUM800T on an old Capri and C488AGE on local grocer's van.
