Is the salop trailer grain tight?

Good question. It's 44 years old and needs some TLC and tidying up. I'd imagine it's probably cereals tight, but not OSR tight as oilseed wasn't really grown until 1986.

One of thr biggest crops i ever swathed was at the aforementioned loanknowe in 81

The year I was there they had two Aussie students working 12 hr shifts on a swather they had bought That season for the rape
an East German thing when they came out it to swap over they looked like they needed put on a drip

I drove one of them , a shrlbourne, forchritt swather all season.
It was no worse than the tractors of the day

Very common in canada/US
They swathe lots.
You can swathe barley , bale it, then feed the bales to sheep in ring feeders
Twice a week feed

Sadly i had to sell my rolls royce macdon swather but i still have a tractor mounted version

My one was brand new in 81

I might have to try it one day dose it keep ok in bale ? Rats crows not bother them ? How ma y bales acre ?

It keeps fine, but you need to keep rats and crows away.

A mower ?

The mower will cut it but it wont dry if laid on ground, thats whrre the swather is better.
