Marshall rear discharge

Shelbourne was £7k more than the marshall new

To be fair I have not used a Shelborne for years (back when they were yellow?) but in that video it looks like a complete tank and far superior to the old West design. Quite a big machine in terms of capacity too and a high spec- look at the tyres it is on for example, normally spreaders are on Bombay Tyre Co footwear.

With the original ones there was an element of truth in that. Very hard to set it so final stage would go as slow as the rest.
With MF6480 starting of in 3A and finishing in 3E with great use of mirrors was my favoured solution.

Current one with electrical control much better in that respect but don’t think I’d buy a third one. Blows a hydraulic hose or O’ring in the valve block at some stage pretty much every dung midden that’s been spread so far.

2 years old and replaced all 5 hoses connected to valve block and both from it to tractor.

Back to the O’rings yesterday☹

How much flow have you pumping to the spreader you would think there was too much pressure

Hardly any.
Spreading compost with it at the moment so got it pushing very slowly.
Turning down flow rate on tractor spool simpler than mucking about with ram stage settings.

Yes, over 20% when we got ours a couple of years back.

9t one with wide angle pto was £15K
Would still rather pay an extra 3-4K on a bunning be worth it when it’s still worth what you paid for it 8 years down the line (Long as you look after it) wouldn’t like to turn up trying to part ex a Marshall.

Bunning is £7k more though but certainly easier to resell

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
