Sad reallyAble? Anyone is able in that position if they WANT change things. But Tom would not have got the top job, with no competitors, if he wanted to change stuff.
He simply another cartel man

no no you were quite correct!Iv retracted what iv said, shouldnt have said it. Frustration of seeing our industry taken for mugs got the better of me
Spot on. Mod fail imo.I’m not as frequent a user of TFF in recent months and this thread is exactly why.
The comments on here are absolutely vile and imho looses any credibility that the TFF family has as a voice for agriculture in the UK and wider.
I know not everyone will agree and be happy with NFU and her but to have to those things posted on an online, free access to all forum is just not o.
Trouble is conference was full of people fawning over her. To many want a grip on the greasy pole so follow the agenda.
NFU needs to go, it will never change.
It's own membership now just need insurance for a Range Rover and a spray for 2 acres of buttercups. That is their prerogative, it was only ever going to be like that.
NFU just needs to do stuff for its own membership, not try to dominate other farmers
desperate men do desperate things .no no you were quite correct!
And red tractor and net zeroI wouldnt say it either.
But I knew why he said it, what your union leader has done to farmers with the GFC is absolutely deplorable.
Spot on. Mod fail imo.
Can't recall if Peter Kendall got such flak on his watch, I suspect not!
Farmers on here and elsewhere are so divided, goes some way to explain some of the problems our sector faces.

To call someone evil, that should be for murderers and the like,
not good enough.
Be careful what you wish for. I’m sure there’s a few younger farmers that are equally in awe of RT and the like. They’ll be the loudest and keenest for a top job.The NFU needs young blood.
Unfortunately you are probably right. The amount of cash floating around in UK ag outside the farm gate is simply astonishing. It wouldn't take a large amount to corrupt those supposedly working for the farmers.Be careful what you wish for. I’m sure there’s a few younger farmers that are equally in awe of RT and the like. They’ll be the loudest and keenest for a top job.
Evil exists not only through murderers and the like. For Batters to cause a continual decline in farmers income and increasing amounts of work over the years via RT, causing inexcusable suffering to her fellow human, some commmiting suicide, while others leaving the job they loved, while Batters follows the likes of BRC money as evidenced on this forum amounts to evil for me. Not to mention Batters intentional refusal to stop UFAS millers import non assured grain and yet UK farmers forced against their will to join assurance scheme so they could access their own markets. Even some of the livestock farmers have been forced against their will to be assured while cheap non assured imports are allowed in.j1177 removed his post and now all the reply's with it in need removing including Charles's @Bald Rick

Sorry, no dig intended - tough job being an mod/umpire at times.Sorry... I spend most of the morning with my cows and pushing slurry (with some style I might add)
I have now removed/modified the offensive post(s)
I understand the anger but please keep it civil.
Thanks
Why on earth would she wear a badge like that? It shows a level of naivety if nothing else, I don't know every detail they propose but when mega riich people start talking about control, resets and wealth distribution etc I steer well clear and wearing that badge is a public statement of support of a political organisation, no wonder she wants net zero and us giving our carbon rights awayShe doesn't represent me or my farm. No one who wears WEF great reset bage can ever do so.
The NFU just needs balance. Most of us here are old and set in our ways. The young can bring new ideas in - specially if they know what's happening out and about.Be careful what you wish for. I’m sure there’s a few younger farmers that are equally in awe of RT and the like. They’ll be the loudest and keenest for a top job.
sorry to be nieve but what is wef?Why on earth would she wear a badge like that?
