I am in need of a PH drill. Plan is to just buy a second hand with tank mounted to see us through a year or two.
However I have a front tank which we use for cover crops, which is a new Horsch partner.
Does anyone know of any good second hand power harrow and drill bit, preferably 6m available and what I should look for?
P/H drills are new to me so any help greatly appreciated.

What coulter system do you want, disc or tine? If disc do you want double disc or single?

There's a fair bit of choice about these days. I've only ever run Kuhn and really rate it, heavy but individual depth control on each double double disc coulter, you can really ramp up the down pressure if you need to get it in the ground. 6m is only available in 150mm spacings, I would make sure it's got wheel and disc scrapers if it's for wetter conditions.

here you go make some thing of this

Buy a 6m Kuhn power harrow then get the seeding discs from Bramleys as they use a vaderstad disc for the coulter which work really well.

What’s the thinking then for this idea?

I’ve taken on more land m, it’s is easier than what we currently have so will grow a lot of of sugar beet. I need to be able to drill after beet in a wet time.
I see. I think there’s someone on here that broadcasts wheat into light land beet just before the harvester comes. Then the action of harvesting does a good job of covering the seed up. Often thought it to be a good idea. Not sure it would work on my medium stuff as the tops get up above your knees. I don’t think the wheat would push through it. Can’t get much lower cost than that; especially in a wet time.
