Case vs Claas

Looking at changing one of our tractors and can’t decide between a Case 240 cvx and the equivalent Class Axion. Both are well spec’d and will mainly be on a drill. Like the Class guidance compared to the post trimble Case option and run a green combine but but prefer the Case transmission and cab, struggling with the Class cab which is a little bit ‘Plastic-Fantastic’ for my liking. Is there anyone that runs both and can give likes and dislikes?
Second hand value is also a concern with the Green machine.

Got both here, lads prefer the puma, the claas is the one I go for, more comfortable and less buttons, view to the hook on both is none existent mirror helps, puma uses twice as much add blue now deleted because of reliability issues.Claas was £20000 less money.

Haha, I don’t care about the tractors, just asking about the autosteer

If you are worried about second hand values, get a darker shade of green tractor.

Drove a Case last week for a day, puma 150, gearbox rough AF. Claas have the same gearbox as Dyna 6 which some people say has improvements over massey.

Cousin runs case as well, always getting bloody sorted, he's going back to massey.

He is talking cvt transmissions.
Puma 150 is a small wheelbase which has a totally different cvt from the lwb puma's. I am not a fan of the 2 step cvt in the swb.

Funny, prefer the Claas cab vastly over Case. Not a big fan of the Case joystick vs the Case.

Strongly agree on CNH transmission, it's brilliant.

Assume these are for brand new purchase?

They should both have the same engines in them, so they shouldn't be much difference in reliability.
I've never driven a claas vario but I know the cvx is easy to drive and reliable. And the latest cab and controls are streets ahead of what came before.
There seems to have been quite a few people have a demo of a claas and seem quite taken with them, but ultimately never buy one. A few contractors who run a lot of claas equipment have the odd one or two in their fleet and that's it around here. Barring those that were running Renaults and have kept with them

Neighbour just arrived home with a new claas 510, priced a nh t5.140 but it was quite a bit dearer with less spec and 1 year warranty vs claas at 4 years

Ive done a bit with a cvx case and we've just bought a claas 660 with cmatic cvt and the claas for me is the better tractor by far. The ride conform takes some beating.
The biggest let down on the claas is the gps system, it's there new system with twin screens and its absolutely crap compared to others I've used. It's so unnecessary complicated for no reason, problems with the rtk and isobus machine settings. Claas are aware of all this and they are really trying to sort these issues and they regularly keep in contact. But as a tractor we're very pleased with it. The back up and warranty is very very good

Is that with their new software upgrade?. Guidance and being able to easily transfer combine data to the drill is a big part of our decision to maybe try one.
