Hello, we are looking at changing our 6430p loader tractor. And fancy the new 120m. Has anyone changed the same dose it have the same guts as the 6430, other option would be a 6130r? Thanks in advance

6430p with a derv doctor remap and it’s really the ultimate tractor in my book. Sold mine for one reason alone as didn’t like the JD loader on it but the tractor was fantastic and really kicking myself now as that tractor could pull a fusion really well or a 2600 tanker with ease and with a 50k tranny it would fly and a really comfortable place to spend a day. I’d personally keep the 6430p as they are really becoming hard to find now

I’ve gone from a 6330p to a 6130R, also a step up in spec with electric spools, 50k and full suspension. The 6130R is a far bigger tractor, especially when about the yard and cattle sheds, but doesn’t feel clumsy.
I was keen to try a new 6120m but couldn’t wait for them to be available.

Yeah will be sad to see it go but just come time to replace it now. What did you replace yours with?

Not tried one but I saw a demo one on a farm I was raking grass for 1 day it was a very tidy looking tractor.
I'd be fairly worried power wise compared with a 30 series. And also the new JD's run a lot hotter so the smaller radiators in to low bonnet versions would concern me if any hard work was involved especially in dusty conditions

I also had and still have a lower houred 6125R and MX loader and the loader takes less than a minute to put on or off the tractor and was just selling one as cut back on agri contracting considerably to concentrate on another project (dairying) and due to the purchase of robots I had one year to sell machinery tax free of such as it could be off set against the robots purchased.
The power performance and delivery on the 6430 was way better tho

Okay that’s not so bad, the 6125 will feel a bit bigger around the yard compared to a 6430? And be a bit heavier too is it?

Was it the 6125 you had to rebuild the front axles pivots on?
