Valtra t214 v 254

Why is there a big price differance in a 214 and a 254 , there the same tractor except for the pto power, has anyone bought a 214 and tuned it up to a 254, Also the pros and cons of deleting add blue on a valtra.

Lots of people up here have done it. Local contractor is the only person I have heard with problems but he put a 174 up to 300 at the shaft n ran it on triple mowers. Be sensible you'll be fine. Valtra add blue seems to be the same as massey ie little faults and error codes cause de rating and annoy people. Heard of a few deleted round about with no problem if you get the correct person to do it.

You told us all a while ago your fastrac was tuned up
Why not buy the right sized tractor ?
Add blue should not be turned off do you have no respect for the world were you live ?
I never touched the fast rack , I bought it as origionial , both tractors are the same size with the same engine just 40 hp more in the 234 and €15 k more. So to answer your question as to why not buy the right size tractor , if I save 15 k and end up with the same tractor then that’s a good days work.

I’ve not seen many standard valtras

Getting the dealer to give it all a snitch of a twist from new is one thing but laptop-ing 300hp out of a tractor originally designed to give about 200 is quite another. Ad blue seems to be a monumental pain in the chuff and best done away with, it's not like it affects the operation of the engine a jot.

What is the price difference between a Valtra 254 full spec and say a Fendt 724 full spec??
off my head i bet £15/20k easily
we all know a fully loaded 724 is wat north of £140k now & id bet nearer £150k in these new models with all 3 screens in.
Your ni on into S series Valtra at that money surely? 8.4lt grunt with fendt gbox at that.

I heard recently a new style 724 is around 160k but thats probably before a bit of hagglin. But the fendt will be worth a pile more second hand
I still dont buy into this Fendt thing coz if your like me & dont do that many hours per year & then keep tractors 15-20years it makes the fendt a really dear tractor.
£160k for a 240hp tractor is just way off the radar.
lets see how many is sold in 3 years time.
